Serpent River Trading Post Gas & Convenience

serpent river trading post

Located on Highway 17 midway between Sudbury, Ontario and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. We have been here for over 25 years, with the extension being built 15 years ago. The beautiful log building is home to many beautiful products: moccasins, art, paintings, including Native artists, jewellery, coats, pottery, authentic Native crafts, souvenirs and crafts from local artisans. The building alone is a treat in itself to stop in and admire the craftsmanship of the store and its architecture. We are open seasonally from May to October from 9 am – 5 pm.

The Gas & Convenience store is right next door, we offer gas, tobacco, coffee and other confectionery items. Hours of operation are 8 am – 8 pm, 7 days a week and open all year except Christmas Day. Ample room in the parking area for cars, trailers, motor homes and transports. A picnic table area and beautiful lawn allow visitors to picnic/grill, and enjoy the scenery. Inside, guests can visit the Memories of Genaabjing Museum called “Mkwendawinan Genaabjing”. Friendly staff greet guests to answer any questions and provide information about our history, culture and surrounding area. Contact: 479 Highway 17, Serpent River First Nation, P0P 1B0.
