Live Life On The Shore
The Township of the North Shore comprises 698 square kilometres with three village areas: Serpent River, Spragge, and Algoma Mills. Our small, friendly communities located on the North Channel of Lake Huron offer visitors and residents a naturally beautiful area. With an abundance of lakes and rivers throughout a stunning wilderness, we offer endless photographic opportunities and world-class recreation.
Relax at Lake Lauzon Beach or launch a boat from the Algoma Mills Causeway to explore the 30,000 islands of the North Channel. Or, trek the Kennebec Trail in Serpent River or the Wagoosh Trail in Spragge for breathtaking vistas of the rugged Canadian Shield. The area is a haven for anglers seeking pickerel and pike, while winter brings well-groomed snowmobile trails and ice fishing.
