Find Venues and Ideas

Part 2 of a blog series featuring unique venues and ideas to plan your wedding day in Algoma. Read Part 1 by clicking here.

Picking a venue to host a wedding, reception and photography can be tricky. Certainly, the most important thing is that your special day reflects who you are as a couple. That’s why we’ve put together a list of venues to help you plan your wedding day in Algoma.

Here are the top three reasons to plan your destination wedding in this region of Ontario:

  1. The best photography spots. This region has locations from trendy to rustic: urban settings, beautiful waterfronts, pristine wilderness and waterfalls, sandy beaches, historic sites and buildings, quirky backdrops and mountain-top views.
  2. Venues have professional staff that will make your wedding day dreams come true.
  3. Affordable. You’ll find venues that meet your budget, no matter how simple or lavish the wedding is. Thus making sure your hard-earned cash is spent on the most important aspects of your day. (Outrageous honeymoon perhaps?)

Below is a list of some Algoma Country members offering wedding packages for ceremonies, receptions and photography. Each property has dedicated staff and event coordinators who can answer all your questions.

Wedding Packages For Ceremony, Reception & Photography

These venues may have accommodations, catering, or be attractions providing beautiful backdrops for wedding photography.

The Water Tower Inn
The Atrium at The Water Tower Inn is an elegant setting for an indoor ceremony because of its stunning, high-ceiled, handcrafted wooden architecture and flowing fountain. The landscaped courtyards, with streams and waterfalls, make for pretty settings for an outdoor wedding and/or photos. The ballroom can seat up to 500 guests for dinner. Work with the on-site event coordinator to perfect the menu and customize all the details for your big day.

Not surprisingly, this is the perfect venue to plan a large wedding as the ballroom can host 400 guests for a dinner reception. However, if you’re interested in a low-key day with close family and friends, you can enjoy a barbeque in the courtyard. The hotel is close to excellent photography locations like the city waterfront, local parks and unique spots like historic sites and museums.
