Remote Outposts

Visit one of the many Algoma remote outposts specializing in either boat-in or fly-in fishing packages. Many remote lakes throughout the region have remote outpost camps where you can fish for many different fish species. Walleye, smallmouth bass, big northern pike, lake trout and even brook trout are just a few.
Remote outposts are fully equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. All you have to pack is food, personal belongings and fishing gear. This is truly a Canadian wilderness adventure! The adventure begins on the dock with your gear loaded into a floatplane and then it’s time to take off. After landing and unloading, the plane takes off for its next pickup, and you and your travel companions are alone with your lake for the duration of your trip!
When planning your remote outpost trip, ask the outfitter for a list of what to pack. Not all outfitters offer the same things. Different air services may have different weight limits and baggage restrictions.
