Fish & Hunt
An Experience That Incredible.
This region is home to a variety of fish & hunt vacations. Drive up to your cabin at a lodge, ride the rails aboard the train to lodges along the rail line, or take the ultimate Canadian wilderness fly-in adventure by a float plane to remote lodges and outposts. With over 1,000 lakes to fish, anglers have endless opportunities to catch trophy walleye and northern pike.
Hunting season in Algoma begins when the leaves change colour in the fall and ends with the first blanket of snow layers on the ground. There are three types of hunting adventures in our “big backyard”: small game, wildfowl, and big game. Black bear season in Ontario is available in Spring and Fall, while small game, wildfowl and big game, including moose and deer, is from mid-September to mid-December.
